Hi,

I wanted to say that I really like the feature of being able to re-order the toolbar buttons with a middle click and drag operation and having the keyboard shortcuts work for this new button order.  I just found this feature by accident while clicking and dragging on a button today with a middle click on my stylus, so I have no idea how long it’s been here.

The single middle click bringing up the button as a larger floater in the interface is interesting too.  The only thing that I noticed is that these floater buttons each occupy a seperate space on the taskbar and they also aren’t visible once you change to another brush because they don’t stay on top of the Mudbox interface.  This limits their usefulness and clutters the taskbar.  It would be better if they stayed active as floaters in the interface and didn’t occupy a seperate space on the taskbar.

I also really like the idea that Thomas Mahler mentioned regarding a hotbox that allows you to hit one key and summon any of the brushes, strength, etc., from a drop down next to the cursor in the viewport like ZBrush.  When you’re sitting back from your desk using a tablet on your lap, this would make working with Mudbox a lot more comfortable.  You could then just bind a few keys to the intuos 3 tablet buttons and you would be free of the keyboard for most operations.

Thanks,

Erin
