Just watched the 2012 intro video and am very happy to see a pop-up marking menu - this will be very useful to us tablet users.  It looks like a lot of the interface is still the same (which isn’t a bad thing) but I was hoping for mention of a more customizable experience.  While the big bullet points are impressive I am hoping someone here can comment on some of the other practical usability features in the next version?  Thanks and can’t wait to test it out.

I think multi-touch support would be great. When I’m modeling with my touch screen mudbox doesn’t use the multi-touch input. It would be nice to be able to control the rotating, zooming and panning via multi-touch. Being able to model via multi-touch wouldn’t be so useful though.

Customize the U.I and boolean with stencils so I can subtract/add/intersect with other stencils, not that vector brushes don’t do a hell of a job just the option would be nice when and if I need it :)

Would be nice to use paint layers when cameras are selected, for mixing backgrounds and stencils.
That way Mudbox could work like Photoshop for 2D painting, or Mari for projecting textures without brush lags.

I mostly work with large stencils and this is kinda painful, because the stencil always rotates around its center. When I’m working zoomed to the edge of the stencil, rotating requires a lot of panning so I can get my wanted area back in view. Same problem occurs with scaling the stencil.

So, an option to rotate/scale the stencil around the clicked point would be really, really sweet!
