Try trashing your preferences folder. Give it a new name, 5.0 to 5.0old for example. SBPro will create a new 5.0 on launching the program.

It’s been a while since I used XP. I think you’ll find it via the Documents & Settings/AppData path in the Autodesk folder.

First of all go to File Options in the Control Panel and check Show hidden folders. Then try: Documents and Settings/ [Username]/ Application Data/ Autodesk/ Sketchbook Pro/5.0

For Windows Vista users who are missing their Color Editor, you can do this and it WILL solve it.
-- You must have Enabled “See Hidden Files and Folders” look up above to know how to do that.

1.- Go and copy/paste that link into your Explorer. Press “Windows” + E and then My Computer will open. Click on the “My Computer” bar at the top, and then Copy/Paste the following.

INFORMATION: Change my xTwoTails into your username.
C:\Users\xTwoTails\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\SketchBook Pro\5.0

This will take you directly, to where you’re supposed to go.
Then Right Click the “ userPreferences.xml “ and click “Open With” . Select “Notepad” and then click “Ok”
The file should now open with NotePad.
Now that you opened the file, it’s time to search!

You’re searching for this

<point name="Color Editor Position" value="56,176" default="32767,32767"/>

Keep in mind that what you’re seeing is. Value (where it’s at right now) and Default (where it should be by default). What you’re going to do is delete the “56,176” and replace it with the Default numbers which are “32767,32767”
So you should get something like this

<point name="Color Editor Size" value="32767,32767" default="32767,32767"/>

Then go to File. Click Save. Then Restart Sketchbook and now try and open the Color Editor. It should now be visible.

-- Note: Sorry if this thread is old, I just had to give my two cents here.
