Want to purchase a tablet pc to use SBP for drawing and graphics. Does anyone have recommendations? Lenova thinkpad tablet...is that any good? Leaning away from the Ipad because of lack of sensitivity to stylus pen. This is for a budding artist (not me) so I’m really at a loss. I need a good tablet and a good pen...and sketchbook pro compatibility. Price range $500-1000. Thanks so much for any help.

The Thinkpad will work fine. I use a Fujitsu T900, and that’s been an excellent tablet pc for Sketchbook Pro. Really, any tablet pc will work great, so you have lots of options.

I recently bought an Asus EP 121 Tablet/Slate pc, at the top end of your price range, and I love it! It’s an artist’s tool which uses Windows 7 and works well with Sketchbook Pro. It is supplied with a Wacom based pen, is pressure sensitive and has ArtRage already installed.

Note - with the Wacom series you need to be connected to a computer - not so the Asus which is mobile. I can sit and doodle with the Asus on my lap when TV is boring. One criticism is battery life but that I can live with as I love my Asus EP 121! It’s no real problem plugging it’s lead into the nearest power socket.

Go to YouTube and search Asus EP 121/Sketchbook Pro and you’ll see some artists demonstrating Sketchbook Pro on the Asus.

I live in France and purchased mine via Amazon EU and it arrived the day after I ordered it! If there’s a genuine problem with a product on delivery then Amazon’s replacement or money back service is well worth considering.

Hi, I’ve already recommended the Asus EP 121 in an earlier post but have come across an excellent appraisal of the Asus including lots of followup comments - praising and complaining - which might help to get a balanced view of this product. The Wacom Intuos series tablets work with Sketchbook, fit within your budget and are from a longstanding reputable tablet vendor. Wacom also has a entry level tablet in their Bamboo series.

You can examine the Wacom range of tablet offerings at http://www.wacom.com/

Tablet PC, vegas, not a drawing tablet input device like Intuos.
