Bought SBP 2011 from Mac App Store.

There’s no “rotate view” tool anymore? Clicking the magnifying glass icon, or pressing the spacebar, brings up the palette for magnifying and moving the view, but there’s no way to use it to rotate the view (as there was in the previous version). The tool tag even lists “Rotate” as an option, but if there’s a way to actually do that, it seems to be hidden from me.

I am also having the same problem.  This new Sketchbook Pro 2011 is kind of useless to me until I can figure out how to rotate the image dynamically.

As “Joe Paris” already mentioned: enable rotate canvas in the preferences…
Then hold down the spacebar and rotate, zoom and move dynamically…

Or, use the left and right bracket keys for rotating the whole canvas…
Or, hold down the V-key, then rotate, scale, skew and move the selected layer…

Nolan

It’s not working for me. I keep checking the “Enable Rotate Canvas” box, and click “okay”. Then when I hold down the space bar, the rotation ring is still absent. When I reopen the preferences menu the box is unchecked again.
I’ve tried it about a dozen times with the same result. Any suggestions??
The rotate canvas tool is a fundamental one for me, & unless I can enable it Sketchbook 2011 won’t be much use I’m afraid.
(I’m on a Mac, btw.)

this may seem like a silly question but did you restart sketchbook pro.  I had to restart it for this feature to work for me after I enabled it in the preferences.
