I can't fathom using the mouse-based controls to manage my view of models. Now when I use Sketchbook Pro on my Mac I can't help but think of how great it would be to rotate the canvas and zoom in/out with the device. Instead I'm stuck with jumpy, inaccurate rotations and zooming with the keyboard. Sketchbook is still a great product, don't get me wrong. I hope someone at Autodesk sees my attached mockup and will pass it along to someone who might be able to do it. Thanks for creating great drawing software! 2012-11-06T07:24:38+02:00 Multitouch on Tablet devices? http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/multitouch-on-tablet-devices/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/multitouch-on-tablet-devices/page-last/#When:09:36:29Z Hello. I tried SBP6 on my Samsung Series 7 Slate because of a movie i saw on youtube. It showed multitouch on a Wacom Device. i hoped that it would work like that on my slate but it doesnt. Is this a driver Problem? The Slate has wacom components.. Greetings 2012-11-05T09:36:29+02:00 Just to be clear ... no support for pen rotation? (i.e. Wacom 6D Art Pen) http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/just-to-be-clear--no-support-for-pen-rotation-40ie-wacom-6d-art-pen41/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/just-to-be-clear--no-support-for-pen-rotation-40ie-wacom-6d-art-pen41/page-last/#When:17:27:42Z Hey all. So SketchBook Pro doesn't support Wacom pen rotation? Any plans for future support? Definitely won't be buying the software if it doesn't (and won't in the future). Otherwise, it does look like it could be the premier sketching app Autodesk purports it to be. But without support for rotation ... I guess I'll have to go with a Corel product. That kind of thing is important to traditional-media artists like myself. Would appreciate confirmation so I can make a confident purchase decision! I have the Autodesk Education Suite 2011 and everything works fine except for Sketchbook Pro. When I enter the serial number and product key into the pop up window, the OK button does not become active and I cannot get in! I've checked the number and key a zillion times and they are entered correctly, yet the system isn't registering them at all. I have this expensive piece of software sitting here and I cannot use it because of what looks like a ridiculous bug :-( I can only use the limited version, which is indeed very limited. Is this a known issue, and is there a cure for it? Please help! P.S. I've tried both the Mac and the Windows versions and they both have this problem. I'm running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 respectively. 2012-10-25T14:24:02+02:00 Noob question: adding text http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/noob-question-adding-text/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/noob-question-adding-text/page-last/#When:23:19:55Z Hey folks, I am just 2 days into this. Just got Bamboo Capture and Sketchbook Pro 2010. I am wondering if it is possible to add text to my drawings in Sketchbook Pro? If so, how, and if not what is normal proceedure for doing this? My background is old school sign painter, and have always drawn cars and airplanes with pencil/pens. I also have background in vinyl sign graphics. Thanks for all the future help here, and I am really excited at the prospect of joining the 21st century. 2012-10-17T23:19:55+02:00 Using SketchBook Pro in recording movies http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/using-sketchbook-pro-in-recording-movies/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/using-sketchbook-pro-in-recording-movies/page-last/#When:10:12:41Z Hello! Is allowed to use SketchBook Pro for recording educational movies and for publishing them on Youtube? I'm teacher from Croatia. I use Bamboo Pan and I found it is great to use it in combination with SketchBook Pro for recording movies. My work is non-comercial, completelly free. I alredy made one such movie, it is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iuNd4fojDmg&list=UUnhSAtlOPwCM35G7MRvUB7Q . Of course, I don't want to violate, so I want to check here if my work is acceptable. I'm simply putting this here for the archives to hopefully make it easier for the next person seeking a solution to the problem. The issue is suddenly losing the Color Editor Palette in Sketchbook Pro 2011. You click on window, select color palette, nothing. Click on the color wheel on the task bar for the color palette and still nothing. Copic library works fine, but no amount of searching/button pressing will bring up the color editor. It's as if it disappeared off screen somewhere and is now lost. The solution to this damning problem is to delete your users preferences folder out of your SPB so that reopening SPB re-creates your user options, and in turn gives you back your color editor. I am using Windows 7, so the ways people were getting to this folder through WinXP and Vista were bust in my case. My first problem was locating the folder as it is a hidden folder by default. So if you don't have your system set up to show hidden folders you need to activate that first. To do that you can go to the input/searchbar in your start menu and simply type "Folders" which will give you a list of options, one of which says "Show Hidden Files and Folders" the 3rd option down on my system. From there, find "Files and Folders" then "Hidden Files and Folders" in the tree and select the option to show hidden files, then apply and save. Now you can see the file you're looking for, so to find this file you will now go to your (C:) drive, and select "Users" then select the administrator user folder [username] and then from there you'll see the folder called "AppData" which was formally hidden. Clicking this folder you'll then select "Roaming", then "Autodesk", then "Sketchbook Pro", then "5.2". Now, you can delete this entire "5.2" folder if you wanted, in which case you will lose all your saved brushes and whatever if you haven't saved them in a separate file. Or, you can go into this folder and just delete the file "userPreferences" (Make sure SPB is closed when you do this) and that will simply set SPB back to factory settings like it's brand new, but you'll still have all your custom brushes. What you won't have, is any saved or custom colors that you once had in your color editor, but now after deleting this file and opening SPB you should have all your windows appearing when you click on them again. I hope this helps someone save a lot of frustration in the future as I've already gone through it for you. Sorry this was so long, but I wanted it as detailed and step by step as possible to fix the problem. 2012-10-16T02:04:21+02:00 My Cintiq stylus stops working in the drawing area! http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/my-cintiq-stylus-stops-working-in-the-drawing-area/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/my-cintiq-stylus-stops-working-in-the-drawing-area/page-last/#When:13:39:15Z I have Win7 64-bit and a Cintiq 21ux. I just got Sketchbook Pro 2011 and it works beautifully - for the first 10-15 minutes. At a certain point, the stylus pressure sensitivity goes away and immediately afterward the stylus no longer works in the drawing area. I can hover and click over the floating and drop down menus, but nothing happens when I try to draw. The mouse still works though. I need to shut down the program and re-open it for it to work again so I can continue sketching. Any info would be much appreciated! 2012-10-15T13:39:15+02:00 Problem opening. http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/problem-opening/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-sketchbook-pro/general-discussion/problem-opening/page-last/#When:16:46:20Z I recently purchased and downloaded Sketchbook Pro (windows xp). Now watching the Lynda.com training. I'm at work (on break) at the moment, when it dawned on me that the training video showed him downloading templates (grids in this case) for SBP from (I thought) the Autodesk site. Was I hallucinating? (Possible: very grueling day at work yesterday) ;) If I wasn't, where do I find the templates? Because I bought from the Mac App Store, am I considered eligible for such downloads (as a registered user)? Thanks, look forward to digging in. Mark 2012-10-02T15:14:16+02:00
