Hi there,

I am currently creating some teeshirt designs and I need to save the images that I have created with no background as a .png file. I can do this with .tiff files but I need to save the files as a .png as that is what the printers request. Every time I save the picture as a .png Sketchbook Pro adds a white background, while other image editors do not. I do not want this! How do I get the file to save as a .png without the white background and just have a transparent canvas?

Many thanks in advance.

Preferences / General / check Transparent background…
Restart SketchBook Pro… The chequerboard should be visible in the viewport…
When ready / Save As / choose PNG from the File Format drop-down…
Be aware, this will merge all layers…

What about with an Ipad2?

iPad 2 sketches can be exported either as PSD (layered) or PNG (flattened).
As far as I know, only layered PSD files can be exported with transparent background.
