My Bamboo Pen and Touch arrived today so I thought I would try out SBP properly.

For the unfamiliar this Digitiser supports active Pen input and capacitative Touch gestures (which can be enabled and disabled).

The Wacom driver plugs nicely into OSX and drives pan, zoom, rotate events using the standard pinch zoom, two finger swipe, two finger twist etc. that Apple standarised on for their gestures.

SBP seems to be the ONLY application I have that this doesn’t actually work with… Zoom cannot be controlled like this, instead it causes crazy behaviour with the popup tool. Scroll doesn’t work at all with these gestures.

Currently the only thing I can do is use the scroll bars (tedious with a pen) and zoom by clicking the pen button then pushing the pen up or down pretty counter intuitive when the whole gesture model should be standard across all Mac apps and you have already got used to it.

Any ideas folks? I can’t find any options so far to make SBP honour the standard Mac touch model.

Regards,

Andy

Problem persists with 5.0.1 - This application just does not honour the standard gesture model of the Mac platform.

No response received from Tech Support in approaching a month now.

Comments related to lack of Macintosh standards adherence for panning/zooming left on App store. Hopefully it will get somebody’s attention.

5.1 update dropped today on the App Store with GESTURE SUPPORT :D

It works GREAT.... BUT only on my MacBook touch area… sadly not on the Wacom Tablet touch area :(

Results are as with previous version for ‘Pen & Touch’ Wacom device users.

Review on AppStore updated accordingly.

I’ve got an older Cintiq and a Intous on my iMac and I’ve programed one of the keys to do the functions you describe. On the bamboo, is there a way to customize in the preferences pane? I also have apples Trackpad and it works great. Hope you can find a solution, cuz this upgrade rocks.
