Just bought the program… absolutely love it! Still trying to find a good few hours to work something beyond a sketch, but here’s a quick sketch.

Would love SBP to have layer blending modes as a feature though. I think its a big drawback not to have for some sketching techniques. (I like using a white brush to throw in some negative hatching sometimes using the same ‘pencil settings’ rather than switching to the eraser tool.) Having a layer set to Multiply mode would solve any interference with tonal layers below.

Anyway....

Hello all,

I’m new to the Area and don’t have a lot of things to share at this point, although I hope to change that over time. For now, here is a Halloween invitation that I drew for our yearly Trick-Or-Treat event (I just love terrifying Japanese kids!...).

This piece started with a rough sketch on paper, which I scanned and reworked in SketchBook Pro. As you can see, I used the Symmetry tool to create the pseudo-Celtic pattern and for the rough shape of the tombstone. The basic colors were also added in SketchBook Pro but at the end I switched to Photoshop for the lettering and some additional coloring and special effects.

This is my first post so please feel free to give me some feedback, I would love to hear from you.

Eric

I always failed in drawing...even sketching, and i guess ill never improve in this talent, although i tried so hard (specially when im bored at school in class, i take out a piece of paper without the teacher knowing, and start drawing) :P

But here is my FAILED sketch i have done a couple of weeks ago when i had my SBP trial :P

I got SBP about a week ago.  I started up drawing and sketching again(with pencil and paper) but then I stumbled upon wacom tablets and drawing software and I had to have one.  I’ve never used a wacom tablet or any drawing/sketching software, so I’ve been just learning as I go.  Here’s a wip of my friend’s fur ball and my pug.  I love the software but I wish there some literature and tutorials to go along with it!

Hello again. Here is the final version of the illustration that I posted to this forum ten days ago. Except for the initial sketch (done on paper) and final adjustments (done in Photoshop) all of the work for that piece was done using SketchBook Pro.

Hope you like it, comments/suggestions welcome.
