Anybody else notice that when using the paint tool the brush strokes appear to have no antialiasing applied?  I take that back.  It’s like they’ve taken a non-antialiased line like you’d see in Microsoft Paint and then blurred it in some sort of pseudo-antialiasing.  It looks horrid.  Draw a somewhat horizontal or vertical line and you’ll see what I mean.  Is there a setting to change this somewhere?  (And I don’t mean a video card setting.  I’m not looking to cover jaggies only to have them show up in the saved image.)

Thanks.

Try starting at a higher resolution image, then fatten up your tool with a softer edge.
