Looking for a good workflow for doing print res.  With a high res canvas, manipulating the vector lines is slower.  Ok for filling and rendering, but a bit slow for quick sketching.

My idea was to hammer out the line work at low res, then increase the canvas size, scale up the lines, then fill and render.  Problem is when you scale up the lines, they lose some closure, especially in areas where you have deleted segment tails at a low res.  I test the closures at low res by hovering over them with a fill tool.  Scaling is causing leaks…

Also, if you sketch line work in symmetry, then bake the symmetry, it loses closure along the axis.  So if you draw a diamond in symmetry, bake it, then try to fill that diamond on the new layer, it has no closure and you have to go in and manually make the lines meet.  No biggie for a diamond, but on a complex design it’s a pain.
