"A Software problem has caused Sketchbook Designer to close suddenly!”

That’s all I’m greeted with after installing the OSX trial. It worked for about 15 minutes before it locked up, but upon trying to re-open it… I just get an error message. Friend of mine bought it, and has the same prob on his system (also OSX).

I’m not meaning to complain, because the 15 minutes I DID use of the software was blissful, and I think would be a regular part of my workflow if I were able to use it.

Anybody else have this issue? Any word when this will get an update or patch or something? Am hoping I can get mine working before my 15 trial days are up.

I’m having the same problem in OSX 4.6.  I opted to give Designer a try since it had the additional tools missing from SBP and it is a little cheaper than Photoshop CS5.  Unlike you, I *am* complaining.  There is no way I will spend $500 on something that crashes before I can make 10 brush strokes; not when there is a more stable and way more powerful alternative available.

Just downloaded the 2012 education version; running on Mac OSX 10.6
Got the ser#, key, and Activation, but it crashes on startup before I can enter the Activation code.
The computer tries to access the cd drive, and then the software gives up.
Am uploading the service pack, will see it that helps.
I must say, the Autodesk gestalt is a bit cryptic, and it’s naming structure doesn’t help much. Some hiring of proofreaders might be indicated. ;-)

I’ve got the same problem on my Windows 7 pc (64 bit). And I’m not using the trial version, I’ve got the full licence (legal!)

Haven’t managed to run the software even once. =/

Stupid me—updating the graphics driver did the trick. No more crashing.

hello, sorry to post this here, but I can’t find a button to start a new post…
I have been using sketchbook pro for a few months and find it interesting and fun to use.
I haven’t used it for the last month or so, and today, when I started it up, it crashed and crashed and crashed. I cannot get the program to start at all, when I double click on the icon all I get is this gray window with a crash report and nothing else.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times and I still get the same thing.
NOTHING.
I am running a Dell studio 1458, 2.40 ghz, 64bits, 8 gb ram and window 7. I have a wacom intuos tablet attached to the computer.
I have not modified anything since last time I used the program, and I had no problems with it when I used it in the past. I have a copy of the program that I downloaded as a trial and then activated as a purchased one.
Anything else you might need to know? and is there anything anybody can tell me about this problem and how to solve it?
Thanks
Daniela
