iCloud: Pictures cut off going from iPad to iPhone

I used iCloud to save some pictures from Sketchbook Pro on my iPad, but when I open them up on my iPhone, the aspect ratio is different (more rectangular, matching the iPhone display). Am I doing something wrong, or is this a known bug? I don’t see the point of using iCloud if significant portions of my picture are being cut off when I open the pictures on another device.

Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
