Hi. I’m trying to make a PIP in a timeline with Axis.
PIP is a easy thing so I made it of course.

But the problem is When I use multiple PIPs.
There’s no Global axis like in Action, so I couldn’t control PIPs at once.

I thought make a Gap effect with axis or Container would be work, but It didn’t work as I thought.

Do I have to make a mask for PIP??

Is there any way to move, rotate, scale them together easily?

& Axis could have only one image?? In animation view, there’s a Global axis and a image axis. Answer, please.

hi,

all timeline fx are single layer only - so “grouping” would have to be BFX (smokeLinux) or in action (smokeMac2012) - in 2013 you can use CFX
the diffrent axes in SoftAxis are like a hierarchy, so you can rotate off center etc (if you dont want to use center)
in theory you could use a container - doent work in practice though, as the container doesnt promote mattes to the “outside” timeline ...

Select all the elements in timeline. Hit “Post” BFX which will open them up in Batch FX with their axis effects. Select timeline view in batch, select all elements in timeline then zoom in so you can see the AX text on the bottom-most element and CTRL-drag this to the Batch Desktop. It should give you an action with all the axis effects you just set up in timeline.

Word of caution, the lowest layer in your timeline becomes the back layer in action so if it has an axis effect on it it remains in the timeline and isnt converted into an action layer like your other timeline elements. Just make a dummy layer of black as your lowest layer and you’ll be good.

No worries...I should add that this is all worked for Smoke Linux...not sure if it’s quite the same for SMac. Have fun!
