Has anyone had luck getting the broadcast monitor output to work with the AJA IOXT via thunderbolt?  Mine just outputs green when smoke launches and stays that way.  The IOXT works fine with the AJA player and other apps.  Any help would be appreciated.

Solved:  Must use the AJA 10.1 software/driver for the IOXT to output.

I needed to install the latest AJA driver 10.3.2 because AJA fixed some important audio issues with Avid and FCP.
Around the same time I installed prerelease 2.
Now Smoke 2013 does play audio trough the IO XT but no video.
So I’m not sure if the new AJA drivers broke the video output or prerelease 2.
Does anyone run that combination successfully? AJA 10.3.2 and Smoke 2013p2?

You are correct and it is a known issue but currently Smoke 2013 only works with the AJA driver 10.3.1.

I am having the same problem as the initial post, audio but no video in Smoke. The AJA apps and Final Cut work well.

I downgraded from 10.3.2 to 10.3.1 but I still am getting black with audio. THen downgraded to 10.1 with the exact same results?

Any ideas on how to get video in Smoke working with the IOXT? Are there any other settings that need to be changed besides the Smoke Setup App?

Hi nubins.

You need driver version 10.3.1 for OS X 10.6.* (Snow Leopard) and 10.3 for OS X 10.7.* Lion
Make sure the Video Device field in the Smoke Setup app is set properly and that Broadcast Monitor is on in the Smoke Preferences menu.

Are you able to select the output resolution and frame rate in the smoke preferences?

Yes under Smoke Preferences, Broadcast Timing I selected 1920x1080_2398SF.

I attached a screen shot of my settings. Do you see anything weird?

That all looks right.  The oldest driver on aja’s site was the only one that worked for me.  Maybe call aja?  They are very helpful if you call their support.
