Messing around last night and simply wanted to export a frame grab. I’ve got a single frame still,
hit export I get thrown into an export window, I select Jpeg and rename file. I can see my external drives in the list, select one hit export and I get an error message that says…

cannot connect to the IFFFS wiretap: connection failed (or something like that)

This is a stand alone home system (27’imac/pegusus R6), no network or SAN.

Hmmmm...not familiar with “services” and/or “service monitor”. Where and what am I looking for and I’ll check it tonight when I get home.

Hi. sorry for not being too clear.

Open the Service Monitor app from the Applications > Autodesk > Smoke Common Utilities folder.
Make sure all “led lights” in there are green (except the “License Server” which should be gray).

Thanks!
robert.

I checked the service monitor and all seems fine. I tried exporting a sequence and had no luck with that either. I got the following…

Cannot creat job: conncetion refused.

Could not send job to imac/imac locals: cannot create job: connection refused.

or something very close to the above.

Sounds like the Backburner Manager might have stopped working.
Please open the Service Monitor app again and restart the BB Manager and BB Server services and then try the job again.
Or, better yet, restart your Mac and then try the job again.

No go...I re-started both the BB manager and server and also tried re-starting the machine.

I’d love to get this figured out because I’m working on something that eventually I will need to export.
