I know that when I set smoke to manage media, it turn all video to for instance proress HQ or what ever format I tell it to use as the internal codec. But I was wondering, when I ask it to manage my media and I import an mp3, does it convert that to a wav file?

If this is not the case I would hereby like to ask for the feature request that there is an option to also set manage audio and choose the internal format or that smoke gives me a list of what it is best at using internally.

It isn’t done until it is finished.

FWIW....  When you create project media from any movie source like at qt the prores is created as an image sequence, or 1 frame prores quicktimes.  Therefore, the audio for the movie is converted to .wav as well.  So it I only logical that audio only sources are also converted.  Look inside your Autodesk Media Folder

Audio-only clips are indeed converted to .wav if “create project media” is on.
