Sounds good Brian.
Are you also using an AJA card? I’ve mentioned a driver incompatibility between 2012 and 2013 a few messages up.

regards.
Robert.

Thanks Robert,
I’m using the Kona 3G card, and the current driver for 2012 SP4. I will check the specs you listed above to confirm compatibility.

Regards,
Brian

HI,

I also received an email that my upgrade is now available for download.
I do want to keep both versions (preferably on the same machine), but since it’s an ‘upgrade’ I wasn’t sure if it would overwrite the 2012 version for 2013.
Is there anything I have to look out for, if I want to install both versions on the same drive?

I’m just about to update the 2012 to SP4 so I won’t have any issues with the AJA drivers. Also, which graphics card driver do I need? Does 256.01.00f03 for the Nvidia Quadro 4000 still work?

Thanks in advance!

Smoke 2012 SAP2 SP4
and
Smoke 2013 SP2 (Smoke Classic Keyboard Shortcuts)
Mac Pro 4,1
OS X 10.6.7
12 GB RAM
NVIDIA Quadro 4000
14 TB RAID (Areca)

Greetings! I am new here, hope this is the right place for posting my concerns.

Two days I downloaded the smoke trial and install, try as I may I cannot get the application to start; error report: Smoke: License was not obtained: Tried Smoke 2013 (776E1 2013.0.0.F), error 20.

I had downloaded the previous trial but never got past the screen as it appeared so complicated and I had not the time to invest. The previous trial installed and opened without problems, now the final release does not open at all.

What could I be doing wrong?

I have already applied many if not all the recommended troubleshooting methods to o avail.

I am on Macbook Pro 2010 10.6.8 my machine meets the minimum requirements.

Thank you for any help to further…

Hazone

Greets Robert,

Yes, time and date correct.

Robert, I have seen where it’s stated that Smoke does not work on OSX 10.6.8, is that so?

Thank you,

Hazone

Hi all Smokers :)
I’m currently running 2012 with Sapphire plus-in installed.
If I upgrade to 2013, is the plug-in still work in Smoke 2013.?
From GenArts website I don’t see any news they’re supporting Smoke 2013.

Thanks..

Hi Iconslave,

They were no change in the API, so sparks that were working with 2012 should still work with 2013.
