Hey everyone!

I’m having a problem, with folder Lost&Found, which keeps showing up in every project that I’m working on. I tried deleting it, throwing it to the bottom of the screen, but it keeps coming back, after I restart Smoke. And it contains some random frames from all the projects I have.
It doesn’t do any harm though, its just coming back every time.

Any solution to that?

Tomi

Hi Tomi.

There’s a bug in pre2 where any folder created at the top level reappears if you delete it and then restart Smoke.
This affects folders you create manually as well as the Lost+Found folder that Smoke automatically creates when it finds “orphan” frames on your smoke media storage drive.

I was told that this bug has been fixed since we have released pre2, so this should no longer occur in pre3.
In the meantime, you can leave that folder alone, it doesn’t do any harm.

However, the fact that Smoke even created that folder in the first place means that it found rendered intermediate frames that are not referenced by any clips. If you want to purge those frames from your media storage folder, open the Terminal from the Applications > Utilities folder and type this command:

sudo /usr/discreet/io/bin/vic -v stonefs7 -f

Regards,
Robert.
