Can it be done? If so how? I get an “Unrecognized Header” error message on the linux side.

Hi,

You cannot open a newer version archive in an older version of Smoke.

Smoke 2013 SP2 on Linux (Released earlier this year) is an older version of Smoke compared to Smoke 2013 on Mac PR4 (Still under development and no yet released.)

We have backward compatibility so you can open a Smoke 2012/3 on Linux archive in Smoke 2013 PR4.  But not the other way round.

There are too many architectural changes in Smoke 2013 PR4 so its unlikely it will ever be compatible.

Hope this clarifies the error.

Regards
Grant
