I’ve built some graphic sequences that I’m now copying into another master sequence. Before I copy the graphic sequence in to my master sequence I select all the layers and contain them. I’m not working in a 3d environment just simple layering and I’m containing them to simplify the move (copy and pasting one clip as opposed to the multiple layers I’ve pre-built).

The issue is when I go back into that container which is now in my master sequence. The time code retains the time code from when I originally built the graphic sequence. For example, my graphic starts at the 1:00:20:00 mark on my master sequence. When I go into the graphic container the time code switches to 59:53:00 which is where it was originally created.

How can I maintain the master timecode reading in and out of containers?

Thanks!
Rich

Hi Rich,

I am not sure that you can maintain that timecode.

However you can change the timecode for the clip if you need to via the reformatting tools.

Just right-click on the clip in the media library and choose reformat.

In the reformat menu, just choose to change the record timecode.

If you need further detail, please let me know.

Hope this helps!

Regards
Grant
