Good to hear Bellsey, ...it’s just that after Crytek announced they were dropping the 1.3 patch to concentrate on Warhead...I thought maybe the XSI plugin relationship with them may have suffered to.

We look forward to the next plugin release :)

Hello,

Is any news on this front?

I am certainly aware of the upheaval that the move to Autodesk
has caused, personally and professionally, so please don’t
mistake this question for impatience, I was just wondering if there
was any news regarding a release timeframe for the version with animation
that could be speculated by someone there at Soft. If not, no problem.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Take care.

There has been very similar questions asked over on the Crymod forums, so I’ll basically give the same answer. I know the animation exporter is taking some time to complete and get released, and I know many are keen to get working with the animation support of the exporter. We, that is Softimage and Crytek, had originally planned to release just after Siggraph, but there were delays to schedules, resource problems and also bugs encountered that required fixing.

The Crytek XSI exporter is very much alive, but unfortunately I am not in a position to give you an exact time and date of its release. Obviously the recent Autodesk deal has again caused some minor delays. But these delays have nothing to do whatsoever with Autodesk themselves, but more to do with systems, personal transferring, and legal issues, that will occur whenever there is a corporate deal of some kind.

Sorry, this is not the answer you might be looking for, but it’s all I can give you for now.

On the contrary, I am happy to have some idea of where it is, and the
fact that you had meant to release it after Siggraph suggests it is closer
than I thought it might be.

Good to hear it is being made as stable as possible. Totally understand the
slow downs with regards to having a new corporate parent.

Thanks for the update Graham, it is much appreciated.
