Hi, has anybody managed to export a custom character and animations to CryEngin2 through XSI yet?
I see in the SDK manual it only mentions Max for characters but I would much rather go through XSI if possible.

No the animation plugin is still in testing and will be released soon.

The current plugin only exports static meshes

Hi, thanks for the reply, It’s good news a plugin is coming for it. Looking forward to exporting directly from XSI.

As Leo says, its on its way.

When we start to work with it and we are ready for release, we will try and produce some camtesia tutorials for you guys.

Were the Camtasia tutorials mentioned above ever created?  Specifically, I’m looking for a better understanding of how to successfully export character animation via FBX.  I know it’s a matter of plotting the transforms and removing constraints, but I must be missing a step.  When I reimport the FBX into Softimage, I get all sorts of errors.
