When i try to prepare the model for exporting I have to convert the materials one by one and the exporter always links to the specular image instead of the Diffuse so i have go through each material and relink the the material to the diffuse texture.
Once i export to Sandbox 2 and try to bring in the model, none of the textures work at all, they just show up as black versions of the texture.

Please help

Try creating a cube with one UV map, and export that.  I think Cryengine only supports one map, so if you have multiple it just wont work.

hope this helps

try checking the file formats of your texture maps. DDS is the preferred format for the CryEngine 2 and SB2.
