Hey guys glad to hear about the animation exporter coming in the near future.

Have you guys gotten a chance to look into why XSI crashes when you try to export a model in Vista?

This happens with both the mod tool and XSI advanced.

Yes this is a known issue and we’re looking into it. Sorry but the only way around this right now is to use XP. The exporter is provided by Crytek and we don’t support it, and this is a known problem for now....

The exporter is also crashing XSI x64.  Is this a known limitation as well?

No. We will check with Crytek.

Thanks

Yes it’s being fixed in the next exporter update, which is still being developed and tested.

Some of us do have a work-around now.

If you make sure to disconnect your image nodes ( make sure you only have the material without a texture ) then you do get a .dae file even though XSI crashes.  You can then drag and drop the .dae file on rc.exe to get your .cfg and .mtl files.  Then in SB2 you can apply the material to your object.
