touble saving Reference Models.

I have created a prop for a caractor of mine in another seen and wish it to be in the seen with my chartor as a referenced model I not figured out how to save/convert the in to a refernced modle. I tryed the vido on the wed site but it dose not tell how to make one. I am looking for a lesson no how to create a Reference Models.
