Hey Guys, you might already know this but I though I would throw it out there.
As the ActorX plug-in for XSI is being developed it will be posted here:

They state, that you have to contact Softimage to get the latest plugin...if you follow the XSI-Plugin-Link you only get a zip with a .dll in it...very strange…

Can someone please tell me if i really have to write the support to get those plugin and what the ... i am supposed to do with that .dll?

Sorry for being a bit harsh...but i find this procedure really weird, as it is much easier to get the CryEngine Tools allthough they are not even linked in the download section (why?)

I’ve been using the XSI 5.5 on XSI 6 and XSI 7. How do you set up those that say beta?

Niether of these plugins are giving me issues...they did at first but i found ways around them.

i installed this at work on 7.0, as we dont have 6.5 or below, and the exporter is there and willing, it seems, but ive yet to try exporting animation. what type of problems are you having?
im seeing mad problems with bipeds with the exporter on the gearsforums.epicgames and im afraid to go forward if its not going to work. i mean.. i will anyway :D .. but maybe you can offer some insight into your probs if you happen to read this.

or maybe my best bet would be to work strictly in the ModTool?

im not having any problems anymore...i figured out how to use install the plugin..this whole time i kept thinking of how the hell do i install the addon, if it aint an add on!...turns out all you do is drop it in the plugg-in folder.

Well, im using actor x and everything for own personal projects.  I have successfully imported characters into the game, with my own custom rigs and custom animations, textures, and even collision meshes.

In the past couple of weeks i have done a lot of research, and the actor x plugin for xsi 6.5 works the same in xsi 7.  And the reason i kept crashing and everything was because i was using the xsi 5.5 addon....on xsi 6.5.

I even started making video tutorials on this. My goal is to have a new tutorial of some sort every week.
You can check them out my website, raparicio.com
