Hi i been messing with xsi mod tool for about 1 month now and have managed to export animated models for hl2.
I have made a box with a door that can open and close and when viewed in the hlmv (halflife model viewer) works fine.....but the problem now seems i cant make another one without the door being detatched and several cordinates away from the actual box during the animation. ive tried every possable mesh merge combination to try and solve the problem but i cant even replicate the original box i made. Infact now when i export the original box it does the same thing...the door during animation is not attached to the box no more and several co ordinates off.

as you can see the animation andthe door are in the correct place.
here is what i seem to get now…

the door is way off the actual model....
i freeze all transforms prior to bone placement.
then merge the mesh and envelope......cant figure out what im doing wrong all of a sudden
help would be appreciated....
