Is it possible to import TF2 (Team Fortress 2) into a HL2:Ep2 map?  When I search for models, it only lists HL2, Ep1, and Ep2.

Do I need to manually extract the models from TF2 and copy them into my models directory?

Or is it possible to just show all models from Source games installed.

Thx.

I’ve done some investigation into this in the last couple of months.  It’s possible, but difficult and not really recommended.  Basically, you need to mount both gcf files in order to see the other game’s models/materials.  It’s not recommended, because if you were to distribute your map and someone didn’t own all the games you used stuff from, it wouldn’t work right.

Probably over Christmas time, I’m gonna try going in further and extracting out individual models.  Then, I think you just need to update the paths in the qc files and recompile.
