Can anyone tell me if there is an onion skin equivilant in SoftImage? I am animating and I would like to see where I’ve been and where I’m going- much like when you plot points.. but I’m not plotting anything. Just trying to make a dog’s walk cycle.

any ideas?

See “Ghosting” in the manual.

Hey brooke
Its pretty simple and like andy said its called ghosting, let me tell you how its done.

You need to activate it from two places. one is the Object you would like to Ghost, and then you need to tell the desired Viewport to show it. So for the object you can simply access its Visibility node. in the Dialog Box that Appears. one the first tab that is Display > the Animation section activate it. then for Display in the viewport click Click where it tells the Display mode of the viewport like Shaded or wireframe, from the menu that appears its the 5th option. in order to Customize the Ghosting, you can go further down to the second last option and go into display options and Last Tab there play with the settings.

Hope this helps

Regards
