Hi,

I’m working on a fish rig and for animating fish wavy movement, I used wave deformer, which kind of works great until you need to animate it’s speed. The problem is, that when you decreasingly animate wave speed, it starts to act weird, it kind of rewinds itself instead of producing new slower waves, slowing down nicely.

Here are two examples:
Simple wave - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC7BlhSoPUc
Animated fish - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTAG_fvOCYI (you can see how fish at one pont, when decreasing wave animation velocity (on wave control object pp), just starts

So if anyone would have any ideas of workaround or how to solve this kind of problem, I would appriciate that a lot. Maybe ICE have some better tools for that?

Tnx,
maido

Use ICE with a Weight Map and a Null and you should get more control.

Could you please explain it little bit more, how do I get wave effect with null and weight map? There should be some kind of deformer in the play, sinus or something?

Tnx
