I swear I can’t get this working. Although MOTOR generally does a good job it seems that it likes to leave off the toes from the mocap data and the IK doesn’t seem to function on the feet after data is applied. So I’d like to get motionbuilder in on it but I’m having difficulty.

I can’t export biped rigs, I see that. So I tried to use the motionbuilder template. This exports and turns into nulls in MB. If you characterize the nulls and go through all that, apply mocap. It seems to work. I do all the plotting, save, and import the fbx file (merge) and I get strange scale problems but the template now does animate. I’ve tried several way to get the animation over to the biped rig. Pose constraints didn’t seem to work well at all (maybe scale difference is the problem), tried tagging the motionbuilder template rig and using MOTOR to rig>rig but that is just horrible.

The Maya guys shake their head as this is extremely automated process for them. Whats the big secret to getting this to work in SI? Hopefully someone knowws, until then I suppose I’ll have to add Maya in for the sole purpose of exporting animation as geocache/mdd so I can use pointoven.
