I happen to detach my character’s head from his body and from his feet. Making three different objects. How do I connect them back so that it’s moves as one again. they both have two different animations on them but I would like to join them without losing the animations.

Select both of your Meshes and Merge them together. You can find the option under Model< Create< Poly. Mesh< Merge. While doing that be careful of blue Edges, you don´t want that. If there are blue edges, than the Meshes are not merged correctly. You can adjust the merge strength via the slider in the popup window.

same advise as above but there are a few things you will need to do, first align all your objects as closely to the final result as possible i.e. nose, feet, chest all facing the same direction. Merge the objects preserving the animations its a merge option you need to check. You can also refine the properties you want to transfer with the edit transfer option. Then activate the M tool turn on snapping and snap any open points to their corresponding points (that will remove the blue lines (edges) and weld the two pieces together. Its possible your enveloping will get messed up but you can always go back and refine that.
Good luck.
