Most commercial work in Australia is still being produced in SD PAL-D1widescreen instead of HD as the networks here will only broadcast commercials in SD. The standard for producing this work is 720 x 576 with a pixel aspect of 1.42 to create the 16:9 screen aspect. Yet Composite seems to be lacking in this preset & I’ve found that I’m having difficulty trying to set it manually. I’m curious as to why this is missing. I’ve used Combustion since the “Effect” days, and it always had the preset. It’s there in Fusion & After Effects, it’s even one of the presets in Mental Ray. Anyone know why it’s not there in composite? Is there a simple work around....other than rendering square pixels at 1024 x 576?

I’ve been eagerly looking forward to getting stuck into using Composite, yet this is a pretty significant roadblock for me using it in the pipeline.
