I wondered if it is possible to use third party plugins in the Softimage FX tree or Illusion or whatever the compositing part of XSI is called (i.e. Genarts Sapphire, Tinderbox etc).

Unfortunately there is only really one third party plug-in for the FxTree,
RealSmart Motion Blur
