I tried to import a .xsi file and got this error:
The dotxsi.dll(nt) or Libdotxsi.so(IRIX) is missing or the class is not registered.
I checked if the dotxsi.dll file was missing but I found it in the factory bin directory.
I checked the plugin manager and I have three file errors: DirectXExport.dll, DirectXImport.dll and dotXSIConverter.32.dll (screen attached).
The three files are in the factory plugin directory but failed to load.
1. What to do to correct the three errors?
2. What to do to load the .xsi file properly without errors?
Support help is appreciated, as always.
I am on subscription, running Softimage 2012 sp1 on XP SP3.

I’m assuming you’re “on 32-bit”?
I found you this page from the Softimage WIKI (that doesn’t exist anymore there)
via the Wayback Machine: ERROR : 2000 - Library not found.
Not certain if it still applies, but it seems to address the problem you’re describing.

If Softimage cannot find the Common Files\Softimage folder, then your Crosswalk menu would be empty (except for the FBX commands). And I don’t think you would see those errors in the plugin tree (I don’t, not on Windows 7).
So most likely it is a dependent DLL problem, eg Softimage is loading an older version of some DLL like the FTK dll.
I’d use Process Monitor to see what DLLs are actually being loaded.
Let me know what happens…

Solved, I removed 2012 sp1 and loaded 2012 SAP.
