The “instance to duplicate” script no longer works in XSI 7.
It succeeds in copying and positioning the dupe, but then XSI sort of locks up. First you get:
‘ WARNING : 3000 - The modification you are performing is not saved to a delta.
[COLOR=white]Then when you try to click around the interface things don’t hilite properly and you get:
[SIZE=2][COLOR=red]’ Unspecified failure”
Any suggestions? Thanks. Really sucks when your favorite old scripts don’t work anymore!!!

It actually still does turn the instance into a duplicate. You have to save and reload the scene.... very annoying, but at least it works.

Does anybody here know where I can find this script? Or even better upload it so I can use it.
Thanks,

It was available in the netview in previous versions of XSI. You can still access the older netviews in 7 assuming you have them installed.

Thanks for the quick reply, I found another set of scripts that are perfect for my needs so I think I’m okay. Seems to run just fine in XSI 7 too so if your interested Ive posted a link below.
