Hello. This might be a very silly question, I have just stared learning Softimage as a first 3D modelling application.

The issue is that for some reason the it doesn’t show the selection rectangle when Rectangle selection is on (F7) The mouse still does the command as if there was a rectangle selection area. It does the same for the other selection commands too. The feature works as it should, but doesn’t show a selection area.

I wonder if this is a feature for the 2012 version of this software, (if it is then I will ignore it, because it still selects, just I can’t see the area it’s selecting) or might it be some box in preferences that wasn’t ticked. I have trawled the internet and the Softimage user manuals for a resolution to this tiny issue but it seems as if the selection box is meant to be on by default, only for some reason on my computer it doesn’t show at all

I have Softimage 2012(64bit) running of Windows 7

graphic card problem. I’ve never hear of anyone having this issue

Thank you very much, I checked/updated the graphics card driver to VGA standard and the selection box appeared!
