It doesn’t prevent me from working, but these errors are posted during start up:

‘ ERROR : 2356 - This plug-in is not installed: CurrentPass
‘ ERROR : 2356 - This plug-in is not installed: RenderManager
RefreshCustomPreferences
‘ ERROR : 2000 - Library not found: C:\Softimage\XSI_6.5_x64\Application\Plugins\DirectXExport.dll.
‘ ERROR : 2000 - Library not found: C:\Softimage\XSI_6.5_x64\Application\Plugins\DirectXImport.dll.

I’ve reinstalled and get the same problems… any ideas?

The DirectX errors are a known problem on 64-bit.

The other two errors are because some other plugin or addon is refreshing the custom preferences at startup.

Hi

I notice that this thread is pretty old, but I just had a similar problem.

I have installed XSI on my home-machine (brand new iMac with Win7, grabbing the licence from the company server via VPN). The 2nd time I start XSI (2012 SP1) I get the same missing dll’s (directXImport.dll etc).
I used dependencywalker to check why the dll’s were’nt loading (usually they try to load other dll’s and fail) and it seemed that they could’nt find ‘Crosswalk_2012.0.64.dll’. I found the .dll in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Softimage and copied it to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Softimage 2012 SP1\Application\Plugins

and now everything works fine… but I’m still puzzled about why this happens. Hope this can help if others have the same problem.

cheers
Jacob

Check your PATH.
Common files should be in your path,

Hi Steven

I did check my path(s) but apparently some other installation messes this up (a few other of my colleagues have the same problem).

Cheers
Jacob
