hello,
I think,I don’t have problem with ICE cached data in SI 2010 SP1(vista 64 bits).
Firstly, to save a file, I do:
1.emitter node(connected to icetree node)
2.simulate particules (connected to icetree node)
3.cache on file node(connected to icetree node) (save to file)
Secondly, to load from file, I do:
1.emitter node(connected to icetree node)
2.simulate particules (disconnected to icetree node)
3.cache on file node(connected to icetree node)(load from file)

I’ve followed the suggestion posted here, and I’ve also followed a tutorial I came across by Gene on Caching ICE particles\strands. My methods are PLOT > Write Geometry Cache.  I select the path where the cache files are and scrub.

My ICE Cache has rendered out fine, but when I go and load from file I get this error

/ ERROR : 2000 - The cachefile \Strandwave__0.icecache could not be found!

My Timeline begins at frame (0), but ICE Strands don’t render until frame (1) that is why my timeline is at frame (0).

I hope someone can help me remove this error and get my ICE Strands to load from cache, it appears the only reason why it’s not loading from cache is because of it unable to find Strandwave__0.icecache.  I even tried to put in a fake .icecache file into the sequence, no luck :(
