i have been playing with this collision and have managed to get it to do what i want after a little while. i have a sphere (splash geom) falling onto a grid (emitter).
The grid is a passive rigid object and the sphere an active one. (not sure if this is correct but i wanted the sphere to bounce on the grid)
My problem is this, all works fine but particles are passing through the grid. i suspect this is something to do with the particles that are generated on the collision but cannot see a way to stop them being generated inside the grid mesh. i have adjusted some parameters but cant seem to find a way around this.
Can anyone give me any pointers?

Please bear in mind i am new to softimage and would a ppreciate a simple to follow reply ( if one is available)

thanks in advance
