hey.
Ice instances of my object are flat. FLAT!! i dont know why.
ok so im trying to make blood and my geometry, which is frozen by the way and zeroed out, comes in flat. I play with the size on the emit from surface node but it just gets wider.

It dosent keep its shape

thanks for the help

I seem to be having the same problem.. I’ve tried freezing, and setting neutral poses, but I’m not having any luck.. I’m probably just missing something silly..

Please see attached, and thanks in advance for any replies and suggestions:

The master is scaled. Freeze the master’s transforms (Transform > Freeze Transform or Freeze Scaling) and it should work.

Instances do not inherit the master’s transform. They use the particles’ transforms.

You probably have an issue with the Global scale. Click Transform and choose “Display global coordinates” at the bottom of the menu and look at the numbers. Maybe you choosed “Set neutral scaling” before you tried to freeze the scale? A quick fix is to select all polys right-click and then “extract polygons”.

Thank you for the replies.

grahamef,
In the image, the master is selected, and as you can see, the scales are all set to 1

Mikael,
tried to follow your steps but no luck, when I replace the instance shape with the newly created mesh (extracted polygons), but nothing showed up, even when playing around with the scale of the object and point cloud..

I can take a look at the scene file if you want?

Problem was solved by removing neutral pose and then freezing scale again.
