Hello,

I am giving up searching around userguide and wiki since I didn’t find a mention about how to share whole ICE Tree between two PointClouds. I am trying to recreate the water ripples approach from this tutorial http://softimage.wiki.softimage.com/index.php/Water_Ripples_in_ICE where the ICETree of raindrops pointcloud is used also by ripple_centers pointcloud. How to set this up? Maybe I am missing something obvious here, but hell I can´t figure this out… Thanks for help or hints.

Jr.

You see the ICE Tree (raindrops) because the ICE Tree on raindrops has a Get ripple_center node.

hm, than I have to be messing something up. I am trying to recreate the tree using some new workflow from 2011 Subscription pack. Not directly pluging to ICETree ports… have to investigate. Thanks for the reply Stephen.

the AddPoint and ClonePoint node wasn’t working for me with GetRippleCenters plugged to InName port. Instead I had to locate the RippleCenters directly from the nodes.

Hi

I had the exact same problem. Can you please give a bit more detailed explanation what you did to work around this issue? Not sure what you mean with locating directly from node.

Thanks
