Is there a way to do a chamfer or fillet on a curve, like in 3ds max?
In max you can select a point, hit a button and get nice chamfered or filleted curve.

Not that I know of, but the workaround is to raise the degree of the curve (if it was linear) and then use curve>tweak curve to pull the bezier handles out from the knot point. Or delete the corner knot if you have supporting knots on both curves. It’s not precise, though.

In Softimage is is easier to start with a cube or other polygon, bevel as needed, and use the face of the final cube as a source for a curve. Softimage is very Polygon-centric, which is good once you get used to it.

you can do that, check F1 help guide put in search “fillet”, and search for Filleting Curves, its under the “Create curves from other objects” help.

I think that it is better to use Blend curves tool. It behaves much better than fillet…

For what I’m doing the easiest and most precise way is by using polygons and than extracting curves.
Thanks guys
