Hi irakli san.

I saw the tutorial Zbrush to XSI.

When I create displacement and normal maps with Zbrush to XSI. OK, Perfect but in Mudbox to XSI I dont like because i’m making bad or erroneous parameter or my workflow is mistake.

I will hope for Step by Step.

Can you provide some details and a screen grab of your problem?

Which version of XSI and Mudbox do you using?

Cheers!

Dan

Hi Daniel Brassard.

Windows XP 64bits
XSI 6.5 64bits
Mudbox 1.0.7 32bits

My problems is when i create the texture baking.

Low mesh and High mesh into Mudbox I don’t know the normal maps and displacement maps settings corrects. the mudbox create normal and displacements inverse of Tangent.

I don’t know…

I use Zbrush for Displacements and Normal maps === OK, Perfect.

I will upload the images of my workflow of Mudbox and XSI.

Ok.
Thanxs.

From your posts, I was able to duplicate the screen shots you provided. Your problem seams easy to resolved. Your workflow is correct, your setting needs adjustment.

Starting with your last post, the test plane. You are almost there. In your wavefront object import, make sure you turn on “View Dependent Refinement” before you click OK. That should resolve your loss of details in the map. Try this first and let me know.

I would also suggest you put an intensity node between the txt2d-image-explicit1 node and the color2scalar node. The intensity node give you an extra control on the intensity of the displacement map from 0 to 100%.
