Is there a reason when clicking on a light in the schematic view not all of the options appear in the ppg?

EDIT:  Sorry, the question should be- why does ALT have to be used to bring up all the options double clicking would normally bring up elsewhere in XSI?

It’s because the Light Primitive is the element that is shown in schematic… and only it’s properties are displayed in the PPG.  Most of the properties we actually work with on a light are properties of the shader that is applied to the light.  Why it doesn’t show all the properties of all the children of the light is a question I can’t answer, but there are certainly some objects that I wouldn’t want it to open all properties for.

*smacks head*

Oh, of course!  Thanks for that.

I’d really like the schematic view to show a lot more detail, but I guess you can’t have everything.
