Hi there,

I got a problem that drives me mad:

If I use the mia_architectural shader and specify some render channels like Diffuse, Reflection, etc, the alpha in the render channels is totally black except in the Main render channel. So the render channels appear empty in the compositing programm. That really sucks.

If I use a Phong or Lambert everything works as expected.

So is there a special option I have to activate/deactivate or something?

Thanks for any help ... have to start the rendering soon.

Best regards
tom

try an mia_material_x shader instead. Same thing, but designed for split outputs.

Thanks for your feedback. But it didn’t change anything.
Framebuffers are still empty when rendered with alpha.

Really annoying ... I tried so many things but can’t get it to work ... also as usual there is very less information about the framebuffer workflow with MentalRay and mia_material.
