I made a simple model of a battle axe in Mod Tool

I’m trying to make a rendermap so I can edit the texture to make it more unique to the details of the axe, but when I click “Regenerate Maps”, I get the little progress bar at “Progress1… 0%” and then at the bottom of the app. there is an error message displayed: “Unexpected failure”. The file is created but is left empty.

These are the settings I’m using

Does anyone know why or what kind of failure is occuring? Any ideas on how to make the rendermap render?
