Transferring texture from one model to another

Not sure which section to ask this question really.
I can use the Ultimapper to generate an albedo map which is really handy for taking a texture from one model and automatically applying it to another but it only seems to work on some models and not others. It’s something to do with the material it’s copying from but can anyone tell me what settings I need to get a good copy of a texture using this process? Thanks.

I’m using XSI 7.

Think I’ve worked it out, just needs all the the reflection, transparency and stuff turned off in the material. By plugging a texture into the illumination part of a material, the Ultimapper can generate a new texture just it like does with normal maps. I might make a tutorial for this but I suspect there’s probably a really easy way of doing it.
