Hi,

I get a strange bug with volumic light effect.

After saving and closing a scene with volumic effects on some lights (and working well), I reopen the scene and the volumic Properties under the scene root have disappeared. No way to restore it, and the volumic effects on the lights are not working....

Do you know what to do with that bug and how to avoid it????

Thanks!

Steven

I got the same problem few months ago. First I just tried to delete the volumic property of the light and add another. Then the volumic property in the root of the scene would appear but it would be gone again on next scene opening.
For me the problem was solved by deleting the light, creating new one, adding new volumic property and ajusting the parameters again. Now scene openes fine every time. Never figured out why it was happening.

Open a new scene and make a spot then volumic..
merge this scene to the original..duplicate scene root volumic general set to the your master root. and again duplicate this one when it in scene root.
now you have two scene root volumic settings..remove merged scene root…
save scene..
now you will see one
do not need set your volume light again..
if you created volumic pass..and than remove this will be happen again..
